Description:
Construction of a large scale paper and tissue manufacturing plant. Large steel portal frame, wall and roof cladding, shuttered concrete walls and all associated civil and service works inlcuding an office space. The project also includes the demolition of the concrete base, foundations and car park of the original fire damaged building.
New 3 storey office and welfare facilities with full finished fit out, lift and all m&e services.

The Nestbox, Oram, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan

Description:
The Nestbox is a new industrial unit that connects and expands the existing egg packaging facility of Golden Irish Eggs at Oram, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. The project consists of a large 2180m2 factory floor in a steel framed structure with cladding surround.
It also houses a 3 storey welfare building that connects the new factory to the existing factory which contains offices, canteen, lockers and an employees gymnasium which is 450m2 in total.

Oceanpath Sea Food Plant, Howth

Description:
Oceanpath, Howth was an extension and refurbishment to a live and busy fish factory on Howth Harbour.
The new build comprised of a fish processing area, outake lobby, cold store set at -20 degrees which had a special heated concrete floor to stop frost heave, chill store at 0 degrees, new lift and shaft, storage area on first floor, 2nr stair cores, offices, toilets, changing rooms and plant rooms which houses the high pressure water systems, heat recovery units, ventilation units, climate controls and all control panels for the electrical, fire, cctv, intercoms, etc.

Liffey Meats, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Description:
Broomfield Construction built Liffey Meats Plant at Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Liffey Meats have continually expanded their operation there and for each new expansion phase they have used Broomfield Construction as the main contractor.
In more recent years Broomfield has completed a new boning facility, burger manufacturing plant, esb substation, wind turbine as well as many roadworks and civil works throughout the compound.

 

Arthur Mallons Real Meal Foods, Monaghan

Description:
Construction of a meat processing facility for Arthur Mallon Sausages, Monaghan. Construction included stainless steel drainage to all rooms, food grade modular walls, ceilings and doors, refrigerated cold and chill stores, large ovens, stainless steel bollards, barriers, sinks, etc throughout. Installation also included for all mechanical, electrical, cooling and there was a concrete parking and loading yard constructed to the front. Large steel frame at the rear to hold a large water tank and heat pumps cooled the factory from housing at the rear of the factory as well as a large calor gas tank


Corby Rock Mill, Monaghan

Description:
Construction of a new 700m2 steel shed over an existing shed of same use. The two bay shed was constructed first and then the existing structure underneath was demolished thereafter, allowing the mills machinery to be fitted.
Health & safety and environmental control were of high importance in order to maintain the food grade standards of the live factory.
The project also included the construction of a new plant room, weighbridge and control room to operate the entire premises.
